Skydiving and drop zone insurance
A jump aircraft and a drop zone are not the same submission. Alexander Aviation places skydiving risks for operators and aircraft owners. We are an independent, aviation-only broker, and we have placed aircraft insurance since 1978. Tell us about the operation.

Who this is for
This page is for drop zone operators and owners of aircraft used for parachute operations.
Jump aircraft
Hull and liability follow the aircraft and the mission. Skydiving is a different use from personal or ordinary commercial flying, and that change in mission changes the submission. Tell us what you fly. We do not set a piston or turbine rule on this page.
Premises and hangarkeepers
We place drop zone premises and hangarkeepers coverage. They are separate from the aircraft policy.
Contracts and waivers
We can review additional-insured and contract wording. We do not give an opinion on whether a waiver holds up. That is not legal advice.
What to send

- Base
- How the aircraft is used
- Who employs the pilots
- Whether premises or hangarkeepers are needed

What does skydiving insurance usually have to cover?
Jump aircraft hull and liability, drop zone premises, and hangarkeepers are the usual pieces. They are separate coverages, not one policy.

No. The aircraft policy covers the aircraft. Premises and hangarkeepers are separate.
What should I send for a review?
Aircraft, base, how the aircraft is used, who employs the pilots, whether premises or hangarkeepers are needed, renewal month, and loss history.
